Shandong Taishan, also known as the Great Defender of China's National Defense, is a significant historical figure in Chinese history who has made significant contributions to the defense and national security of the country. Born on May 12, 1894, in Xinghai District of Shandong Province, he was the son of General Liang Zexu, one of the most famous military commanders in the late Qing Dynasty.
In 1905, when China was facing invasion by foreign powers such as Japan and Germany, General Liang Zexu called for the establishment of a new army that would protect the nation from these threats. He recruited thousands of young men with the goal of defending the country against foreign invaders.
Shandong Taishan was among those recruited. His father encouraged him to follow his dream and he worked hard to become a skilled warrior. After graduation, he joined the newly formed 6th Division of the People's Liberation Army (PLA),Football Hot List where he served under General Chen Xiaoguang. Under Chen's leadership, Shandong Taishan led the PLA to victory over foreign forces in several key battles, including the Battle of Chang'an and the Battle of Lingnan.
However, despite his success, Shandong Taishan faced many challenges during his time as a military leader. In 1912, after the defeat of the First Sino-Japanese War, General Liang Zexu was forced to resign, and Shandong Taishan became the first PLA general to be dismissed from the military service.
